A 9oz full-grain leather satchel built for daily carry. Handmade in Nelson, British Columbia, the Everyday Satchel is sized for a notebook, tablet, wallet, and the rest of your daily kit. A structured top flap with a solid-brass closure pin keeps your gear secure, and a single 1" leather shoulder strap adjusts from a 22" to 24" drop for crossbody or shoulder carry.

Interior holds a main compartment with one pocket divider. Outside dimensions: 11" x 8 1/2" x 2". Solid-brass rivet construction. Four colours: Natural, English Tan, Heritage Brown, and Black.

Full-grain leather softens with use, darkens into a rich patina, and moulds to the way you carry it. Backed by our lifetime guarantee.

Everyday Satchel Details

Made from full-grain leather, this satchel takes whatever you throw at it and looks better for the wear. The leather develops character with use, like a good story getting better with each telling. Plenty of room for your daily essentials, an adjustable strap for comfort, and construction that won't quit. We make them by hand, one at a time.

9oz Full-Grain Leather

We cut every Everyday Satchel from 9oz full-grain leather, the strongest layer of the hide. Our current supplier is Seidel, a North American tannery that supplies Popov with consistent, top-of-hide cuts.

Full-grain leather is the only grade that develops a true patina: scars, marbling, and subtle colour shifts that make each satchel one-of-a-kind.

Unlike coated, split, or bonded bags that crack and peel on a daily commute, this leather only looks better with age. A year into daily carry your satchel will be softer, darker, and broken in to the shape of your shoulder and the gear you carry.

Secured with Solid-Brass Rivets

The Everyday Satchel is not stitched. Every panel and every strap attachment point is secured with solid-brass rivets, set through 9oz full-grain leather for a permanent, load-bearing hold.

We chose rivets over stitching for this bag because the load path on a daily-carry satchel is heavy and unforgiving: a packed main compartment pulling on the strap points every time you pick it up. Stitching can loosen or pull under that kind of repeated load; solid-brass rivets cannot. There are no stitch lines to unravel, no threads to fray, no weak point waiting to open up a year in.

The rivet heads develop the same warm patina as the rest of the solid-brass hardware, so the construction stays visually consistent for the life of the bag. Every satchel is cut and assembled in our Nelson, British Columbia workshop.

Backed by our lifetime guarantee: if the leather, rivets, or hardware ever fails through normal use, we repair or replace the satchel free of charge.

Happy with the high quality leather

I am enclosing the satchel.
If I could change anything, it would be to make it a half inch longer, and maybe one quarter to one half inch thicker to better fit my tablet, and other things I want to tuck on at the same time.

Heavy Duty Man-Purse, LOL

I wanted to get this for my wife, and when she doesn't want to use it, it fits my Gen 9 iPad and its Smart Keyboard cover perfectly. The weight and thickness of the leather is very impressive, this thing is built like a tank. A very solid bag this is. And Made in Canada!

Loving the Satchel

As advertised, great little everyday satchel. The full grain leather is fragrant and satisfying, lots of character even in the smooth black. Love the finishing touches on the edges. The hyper minimalist brass closure pin was a little annoying to close at first, but after a handful of uses the leather is already loosening and it’s more functional. For me, the strap is a little long— though in the last hole it still fits just right for walking and riding. And I think it would be helpful if the interior divider was actually a pocket as opposed to open at the bottom. Some kind of basic organizer or letting would be nice, but now I’m nitpicking a beautiful streamlined piece. Really nice one overall, Popov!

The bag is gorgeous-excellent quality leather, so very well made. The leather is thick and when it first arrived it was quite stiff meaning I couldn't close it easily. But it's softening up over time. I get so many compliments on the bag-it definitely is a keeper.

I have arthritis in my hands and not able to close purse

I have arthritis in my hands and not able to close purse. Very disappointed with that feature. My husband opens and closes it everyday trying to stretch the opening so that I hopefully can use it in the future. I love the other 2 bags I have purchased. Not so much this one.
